Ekant meaning
Ekant (एकांत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, ए, it is a Vrishabh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
A solitary place; devotion to one object; the only aim
Also used to mean: solitude, devoted
Ekant (एकांत) is Sanskrit ekānta, literally "having one end". Monier-Williams gives it several senses: a lonely, retired or secret place; the only end or aim; and devotion to one object or the worship of one Being. As an adjective it means devoted to only one object or person. In Hindi ekānt is still the everyday word for solitude or a quiet place, and name lists give Ekant as "solitude" or "devoted". As a name it carries the calmer side of the word: quiet focus and single-minded devotion rather than loneliness.
