Ekansh meaning
Ekansh (एकांश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, ए, it is a Vrishabh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
One portion, a single part
Also used to mean: whole, complete
Ekansh (एकांश) is Sanskrit ekāṃśa, a compound of eka, "one", and aṃśa, "portion, share". Monier-Williams glosses it as "a single part, one part", citing the Mahābhārata, the law book of Manu (ix.150) and Kālidāsa's Raghuvaṃśa. Baby-name lists today often give "whole" or "complete", and some "a unique part". We could not find "whole" in the Sanskrit dictionaries, so it appears to be a modern sense that has grown up around the name, while "one part" is the word's actual meaning. Ekansh follows the same pattern as Devansh, "part of a god". The feminine Ekansha is used for girls.
