Simhadri meaning
Simhadri (सिंहाद्रि) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Telugu usage).
Lion hill; siṃha 'lion' with adri 'mountain'
Simhadri (सिंहाद्रि) joins siṃha, "lion", and adri, "hill, mountain", both recorded in Monier-Williams, so it means "lion hill". It is another name of Simhachalam near Visakhapatnam, where Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha, Vishnu in his man-lion form, is worshipped, and where local devotees call the god Simhadri Appanna. The 18th-century Telugu poem Simhadri Narasimha Satakam praises him. Families in coastal Andhra Pradesh give the name to sons in his honour.
