Kshitish meaning
Kshitish (क्षितीश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Ruler of the earth, a king
Also used to mean: lord of the earth
Kshitish (क्षितीश) is Sanskrit kṣitīśa, from kṣiti, "the earth", and īśa, "lord". Monier-Williams gives it as ruler of the earth, a king, and records it as the name of a prince of Kānyakubja, the old kingdom around Kannauj. Name lists give "lord of the earth", which matches the dictionary. It is a different name from Kshitij, "horizon", although both begin with kṣiti.
