Samarth meaning
Samarth (समर्थ) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Very strong, powerful; competent, capable; fit, suitable
Samarth (समर्थ) is the Sanskrit sam-artha. Monier-Williams gives its first sense as having a similar or suitable aim, and so fitting or adequate, and then very strong or powerful, competent, capable, a match for someone; as a neuter noun it means ability or competence. In grammar it can also mean connected in sense. Name lists give the same meaning, "capable" or "efficient". In Maharashtra the word is closely tied to Samarth Ramdas, the seventeenth-century saint and poet, born Narayan Thosar, a devotee of Rama and Hanuman whose best-known work is the Dasbodh; "Samarth", the capable one, became part of his name. The name is used by Hindu families across India.
