Abhigyan meaning
Abhigyan (अभिज्ञान) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Remembrance, recollection; knowledge; a token of recognition
Abhigyan (अभिज्ञान) is the everyday Hindi pronunciation of Sanskrit abhijñāna, from jñā, "to know", with abhi-. Monier-Williams gives remembrance or recollection, knowledge and ascertainment, and a sign or token that serves as proof. The word is best known from the title of Kālidāsa's play Abhijñānaśākuntalam, in which a lost ring is the token that brings back King Duṣyanta's memory of Śakuntalā. Baby-name lists give the name as "recognition" or "knowledge", which matches the dictionary. It is used mainly in North and East India.
