Manan meaning
Manan (मनन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Thinking, reflection, meditation; thoughtful
Manan (मनन) comes from Sanskrit manana, from the verb man, "to think", the same root as manas, "mind". Monier-Williams gives it as an adjective in the Rig Veda meaning thoughtful or careful, and as a noun meaning thinking, reflection, meditation, thought, intelligence and understanding. In Vedānta, manana is the second of three stages of learning: after śravaṇa, hearing the teaching, comes manana, reflecting on it through reasoning, and then nididhyāsana, deep meditation. Name lists give Manan as "meditation" or "deep thinking", which matches the dictionary. Arabic Mannān and Tamil mannan are different words.
