Devaj meaning
Devaj (देवज) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, दे, it is a Meen rashi name (Revati nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Born of a god, divine; name of a prince
Also used to mean: born of the gods
Devaj (देवज) is the Sanskrit deva-ja, from deva, "god", and -ja, "born of". Monier-Williams gives it as born of a god or divine, used of a Vedic chant, and as the name of a prince, the son of Saṃyama, in the Bhāgavata-purāṇa. Indian name lists give the same meaning, "born of the gods". The ending -ja, "born from", appears in many Indian names, such as Pankaj, "born from mud", the lotus, and Girija, "born of the mountain". Devaj is a short, modern-sounding choice with an old pedigree.
