Dwarkesh meaning
Dwarkesh (द्वारकेश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Lord of Dwarka (Krishna)
Also used to mean: Lord Krishna
Dwarkesh (द्वारकेश) joins Dvārakā with īśa, "master, lord". Monier-Williams explains Dvārakā as "many-gated", the capital of Kṛṣṇa on the western point of Gujarat, said to have been submerged by the sea. Dwarkesh therefore means "lord of Dwarka", the same as Dwarkanath and Dwarkadhish, and Indian name lists give "lord of Dwarka" or "Lord Krishna". The compound with īśa is not itself in the dictionary, but it follows the usual pattern. The name is used in Gujarat, home of the Dwarkadhish temple, and among families devoted to Krishna across western India.
