Srinivas meaning
Srinivas (श्रीनिवास) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Telugu usage).
Abode of Śrī (Lakshmi); a name of Vishnu
Srinivas (శ్రీనివాస్, श्रीनिवास) is Sanskrit śrī-nivāsa, "the dwelling place of Śrī". Śrī is the goddess Lakshmi, who is said to live on Vishnu's chest, and Monier-Williams records Śrīnivāsa as a name of Vishnu in the Bhāgavata Purāṇa and as the name of many scholars and poets. In South India it is above all the name of Lord Venkateswara, the form of Vishnu worshipped at Tirumala in Tirupati. The name is used in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil families. Its most famous bearer is the mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Vishnu.
