Venkateswara meaning
Venkateswara (वेंकटेश्वर) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Telugu and Kannada usage). By its first sound, वे, it is a Vrishabh rashi name (Mrigashira nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Lord of Veṅkaṭa hill, Vishnu worshipped at Tirumala
Also used to mean: lord of the Venkata hill
Venkateswara (वेंकटेश्वर) joins Veṅkaṭa with īśvara, "lord". Monier-Williams describes Veṅkaṭa as a very sacred hill in the South with a temple to Vishnu as "Lord of Veṅkaṭa", also called Tirupati, and gives īśvara as master, lord or the Supreme Being. Venkateswara of Tirumala, also called Srinivasa and Balaji, draws pilgrims from all over India to his hill temple. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana the name is also used in the respectful Telugu form Venkateswarlu, and it is close to the shorter Venkatesh.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Vishnu.
