Srinjoy meaning
Srinjoy (सृञ्जय) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali usage).
Name of a Vedic king; a people allied to the Pāñcālas
Srinjoy (सृञ्जय) is the Bengali form of Sanskrit Sṛñjaya, one of the oldest royal names in Indian tradition. Monier-Williams records it as the name of a king, son of Devavāta, in the Rig Veda, of several other men in the Mahābhārata and Harivaṃśa, and of a people said to be allies of the Pāñcālas, who fought on the Pāṇḍava side. Name lists seldom give a meaning for it. It is a Bengali name, carried by the journalist and politician Srinjoy Bose.
