Dhimant meaning
Dhimant (धीमंत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Intelligent, wise, sensible; an epithet of Brihaspati
Dhimant (धीमंत) comes from the Sanskrit dhīmat, whose strong form is dhīmant, built on dhī, "thought, understanding". Monier-Williams gives it as intelligent, wise and sensible, and records it as an epithet of Bṛhaspati, the teacher of the gods, and as the name of several sages and a Bodhisattva. Indian name lists give the same meaning, "intelligent" or "wise". The name is used in Gujarat and western India, and by Jain as well as Hindu families. The related form Dhiman is better known as a North Indian family name.
