Trivikram meaning
Trivikram (त्रिविक्रम) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The three strides of Vishnu; Vishnu himself, who made them
Also used to mean: Lord Vishnu, three steps
Trivikram (त्रिविक्रम) is the Sanskrit trivikrama, from tri, "three", and vikrama, "a step, a stride". Monier-Williams gives it as the three steps of Viṣṇu and as Viṣṇu himself, "who strided over the three worlds in three steps". The idea goes back to the Ṛg-veda's praise of Viṣṇu's three strides, and in the later Vāmana story the dwarf avatar asks King Bali for three paces of land, then grows to cover earth and heaven. Name lists give Trivikram as "Lord Vishnu" or "three steps", in line with the dictionary. A well-known bearer is the Telugu film director Trivikram Srinivas.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Vishnu.
