Tripurari meaning
Tripurari (त्रिपुरारि) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Enemy of Tripura, the triple demon city; an epithet of Shiva
Also used to mean: destroyer of the three cities, Lord Shiva
Tripurari (त्रिपुरारि) is the Sanskrit tripurāri, "enemy of Tripura", from tripura and ari, "enemy". Monier-Williams describes Tripura as the triple city of the Asuras, built by Maya of gold, silver and iron in the sky, the air and the earth, and burnt by Śiva; tripurāri is one of several names for Śiva as its destroyer, alongside Tripurāntaka and Tripuraghātin. In the Purāṇic story Śiva destroys all three cities with a single arrow. Name lists give the same meaning. It is a traditional name, used by families devoted to Śiva.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Shiva.
