Akash meaning
Akash (आकाश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
An open space; the ether, sky, atmosphere
Akash (आकाश) is the Sanskrit ākāśa, "a free or open space", and so "the ether, sky or atmosphere". Monier-Williams adds a philosophical sense: ākāśa is the subtle, ethereal fluid thought to fill and pervade the universe and to be the vehicle of life and of sound. In Indian philosophy, as in the Sāṃkhya system, it is the first of the five gross elements, with air, fire, water and earth, and the dictionary also records it as a name of Brahma, identified with the ether. The word is still in everyday use for the sky in Hindi and many other Indian languages, so the name is instantly understood. Name lists give Akash as "sky" or "open space", matching the dictionary. Aakash and Akaash are other spellings of the same name.
