Divij meaning
Divij (दिविज) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Heaven-born, celestial; a god
Also used to mean: divine
Divij (दिविज) is the Sanskrit divi-ja, from divi, "in heaven", and -ja, "born". Monier-Williams gives it as heaven-born or celestial, and as a noun, a god, citing the Bhāgavata-purāṇa. Indian name lists give "heaven-born" or "divine", which agrees. The first part comes from div, the Sanskrit word for heaven or the bright sky, related to deva, "god", and divya, "divine". Divij sounds modern but is an old word, and its feminine form, Divija, is used for girls.
