Amogh meaning
Amogh (अमोघ) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Unerring, unfailing, effective, fruitful; a name of Shiva and Vishnu
Amogh (अमोघ) is the Sanskrit amogha, from a-, "not", and mogha, "vain, useless": something that never fails or goes to waste. Monier-Williams gives it as unerring, unfailing, effective, successful and fruitful, and lists it as a name of Śiva, of Viṣṇu in the Mahābhārata, and of Skanda; the feminine Amoghā is a name of Durgā and of a spear in the epics. A weapon that never misses its mark is called amogha, and the great Rāṣṭrakūṭa emperor Amoghavarṣa took his name from it. Name lists give Amogh as "unfailing", "unerring" or "fruitful", matching the dictionary.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Shiva.
