Bhuvanesh meaning
Bhuvanesh (भुवनेश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Lord of the world
Bhuvanesh (भुवनेश) is Sanskrit bhuvaneśa, from bhuvana and īśa, "lord". Monier-Williams gives bhuvana as a being, mankind and the world, and bhuvaneśa as "lord of the world", a phrase found in the Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad, and also as the name of one of the Rudras, the storm-gods linked with Shiva. Baby-name lists give the name as "lord of the world", exactly the dictionary sense, and some connect it with Shiva or Vishnu. The goddess Bhuvaneshvari, "queen of the worlds", is its feminine counterpart. North Indian families often write it Bhuvnesh.
