Dhruvansh meaning
Dhruvansh (ध्रुवांश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
A part of Dhruva, the pole star
Also used to mean: part of the pole star
Dhruvansh (ध्रुवांश) joins dhruva and aṃśa. Monier-Williams gives dhruva as fixed, firm, unchangeable and lasting, and as the pole star, personified as Dhruva, the son of King Uttānapāda; in the Purāṇas the boy Dhruva's steady devotion to Viṣṇu wins him a fixed place in the sky. Aṃśa means a share, portion or part. The name therefore means "a part of Dhruva" or "a part of the pole star", and Indian name lists give it the same way. It is a modern compound in the pattern of Devansh and Shivansh, used in North India.
