Tarakeshwar meaning
Tarakeshwar (तारकेश्वर) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (compound). By its first sound, ता, it is a Tula rashi name (Swati nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Lord who carries across, the saviour lord (tāraka + īśvara); Shiva
Also used to mean: lord of the stars, Lord Shiva
Tarakeshwar (तारकेश्वर) joins tāraka and īśvara, "lord". Monier-Williams gives tāraka as "carrying across, rescuing, saving", and also as "a star"; Apte adds that as a noun it means a deliverer or saviour and is an epithet of Śiva. The name can therefore be read as "the lord who carries his devotees across" the ocean of rebirth, or, as name lists usually put it, "lord of the stars". Both are reasonable readings of the parts. Tārakeśvara is above all Śiva of the famous temple town of Tarakeswar in Hooghly, West Bengal.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Shiva.
