Bhushan meaning
Bhushan (भूषण) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, भू, it is a Dhanu rashi name (Purva Ashadha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Adorning; an ornament or decoration
Bhushan (भूषण) is the Sanskrit bhūṣaṇa, from the verb bhūṣ, "to adorn". Monier-Williams gives it as decorating, an ornament, decoration or embellishment, and, from the lexicons, as a name of Viṣṇu. The word often closes honorific titles in the sense "the ornament of": India's third-highest civilian honour is the Padma Bhushan, the one above it the Padma Vibhushan, and names such as Bharatbhushan and Brijbhushan follow the same pattern. Name lists give Bhushan as "ornament", matching the dictionary. Its best-known historical bearer is Kavi Bhushan, the seventeenth-century Brajbhasha poet who served at the courts of the Maratha king Shivaji and of Chhatrasal of Bundelkhand, and whose Śivrājbhūṣaṇ celebrates Shivaji.
