Nandkumar meaning
Nandkumar (नन्दकुमार) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Son of Nanda: a name of Krishna
Also used to mean: lord krishna, joyful prince
Nandkumar (नन्दकुमार) joins Nanda, the cowherd chief of Gokul who raised Krishna, with kumāra, which Monier-Williams gives as a child, boy or youth, a son, and a prince. The name therefore means "Nanda's son", a loving title of Krishna used in devotional songs. Because nanda also means "joy", some name lists render it "joyful prince", which the parts allow, though the traditional sense is Krishna. In South India the name is usually written Nandakumar, and in the North often as two words, Nand Kumar.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Krishna.
