Harin meaning
Harin (हरिन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Deer, antelope; fawn-coloured, tawny; a name of Viṣṇu or Śiva
Also used to mean: Lord Vishnu
Harin (हरिन) is the Sanskrit word hariṇa, a deer or antelope, used as early as the Ṛgveda. Monier-Williams explains it as the "fawn-coloured" animal, from an adjective meaning tawny, yellowish or green, and also lists the sun, a goose, and a name of Vishnu or Shiva among its senses. Name lists give "deer" and sometimes "Lord Vishnu", both of which are in the dictionary. The everyday Hindi word for deer, hiran, comes from the same Sanskrit word.
