Param meaning
Param (परम) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Highest, chief, best, most excellent; supreme
Param (परम) is the Sanskrit parama, the superlative of para, "beyond, higher". Monier-Williams gives it as most distant and extreme, and as chief, highest, best and most excellent. It is the first part of many sacred words, such as Paramatma, "the supreme soul", Parameshwar, "the supreme lord", and paramahamsa, a title for great ascetics. India's highest award for gallantry is the Param Vir Chakra. Name lists give "supreme" or "highest", the same as the dictionary. The name is used by Hindu and Sikh families.
