Nandan meaning
Nandan (नन्दन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Gladdening; a son; Indra's divine garden
Also used to mean: joy, delightful
Nandan (नन्दन) comes from Sanskrit nandana, "rejoicing, gladdening", from the verb nand, "to rejoice". As a masculine noun Monier-Williams gives "a son", the child who brings joy, and as a neuter noun it is Nandana, the divine garden of Indra's heaven. The Mahabharata also uses it as a name of Vishnu or Shiva. The word appears in titles of Krishna such as Devakinandan, "son of Devaki". Name lists give "joy" and "son", both supported by the dictionary.
