Pratyush meaning
Pratyush (प्रत्यूष) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Daybreak, morning, dawn; the sun; one of the eight Vasus
Also used to mean: morning sun
Pratyush (प्रत्यूष) is the Sanskrit pratyūṣa, the first light of morning. Apte's dictionary gives it as day-break, morning and dawn, citing Kalidasa's Meghaduta and Shakuntala, and as a masculine noun, the sun. Pratyūṣa is also one of the eight Vasus, the gods of the natural elements, alongside Prabhāsa (radiance) and Dhruva (the pole star). Name lists give "dawn" or "morning sun", the same as the dictionary. The name is used across India, and South Indian families often spell it Prathyush.
