Vibhav meaning
Vibhav (विभव) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Power, might, greatness, majesty; wealth, fortune; omnipresence
Also used to mean: splendour, glory, prosperity
Vibhav (विभव) is the Sanskrit vibhava, from the verb vi-bhū, "to arise, to expand, to pervade". Monier-Williams gives it as power and might, greatness, high rank, dignity and majesty, and also as wealth, property and fortune, as well as omnipresence, magnanimity, and release from worldly existence. In Vaishnava thought vibhava is the unfolding of God into secondary forms, the avatars. The better-known name Vaibhav is formed from this word. Name lists give Vibhav as "splendour", "glory" or "prosperity", which are close to the dictionary's power, majesty and wealth.
