Bhagyesh meaning
Bhagyesh (भाग्येश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, भा, it is a Dhanu rashi name (Mula nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Lord of fortune (bhāgya, 'good fortune', + īśa, 'lord')
Also used to mean: lord of luck
Bhagyesh (भाग्येश) joins Sanskrit bhāgya and īśa. Monier-Williams gives bhāgya as lucky and fortunate, and as a noun fortune, good fortune, happiness and welfare; īśa means master or lord. Bhāgyeśa itself is not a dictionary headword, but Monier-Williams does record the older bhageśa, "the lord of fortune or prosperity", from the Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad, which has the same sense. Baby-name lists give the name as "lord of luck" or "lord of fortune", in line with the parts. It is used mostly by Marathi and Gujarati families.
