Bhautik meaning
Bhautik (भौतिक) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Gujarati usage).
Elemental, material; as a noun, a pearl; an epithet of Shiva
Also used to mean: physical
Bhautik (भौतिक, Gujarati ભૌતિક) comes from Sanskrit bhautika, built on bhūta, "element" or "being". Monier-Williams gives it as relating to or made of the elements, hence material, and lists two noun senses that suit a name: a pearl, and an epithet of Shiva, possibly linked to bhūti, the sacred ash he wears. In modern Gujarati and Hindi, bhautik means physical, as in bhautik-śāstra, physics. Name lists give "physical" or "material", and a few "radiant", which we could not find. Bhautik is used mainly in Gujarati families.
