Suketu meaning
Suketu (सुकेतु) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Gujarati usage).
Very bright; name of a Yakṣa king and various kings
Also used to mean: good banner
Suketu (सुकेतु) joins su-, "good, very", with ketu, which Monier-Williams gives first as brightness or clear appearance and then as a sign, ensign, flag or banner. For suketu itself the dictionary records "very bright" from the Rig Veda, and the name of a king of the Yakṣas and of several kings in the Mahābhārata, Rāmāyaṇa and Purāṇas. Name lists give "good banner" or "bright", both supported by the two parts. It is a Gujarati name, carried by the writer Suketu Mehta.
