Jyotiraditya meaning
Jyotiraditya (ज्योतिरादित्य) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The radiant sun (jyotis, 'light' + āditya, 'the sun')
Also used to mean: resplendence of the sun
Jyotiraditya (ज्योतिरादित्य) joins Sanskrit jyotis, "light", and āditya, the sun. Monier-Williams gives jyotis as the brightness of the sun, dawn, fire and lightning, the light of heaven, and light as the divine principle of life and intelligence; āditya is a son of the goddess Aditi and, above all, the sun. In Sanskrit the two words join as jyotirāditya. Read together the name is "the sun's light" or "the radiant sun", and name lists give "resplendence of the sun". The politician Jyotiraditya Scindia is its best-known bearer.
