Parthiv meaning
Parthiv (पार्थिव) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Gujarati usage). By its first sound, पा, it is a Kanya rashi name (Uttara Phalguni nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Earthly; fit for kings; a lord of the earth, king, prince
Parthiv (પાર્થિવ) is Sanskrit pārthiva, the adjective of pṛthivī, "the earth". Monier-Williams gives it the senses earthly, earthen and terrestrial, and also royal or princely; as a noun it means an inhabitant of the earth and, most often in the epics, a lord of the earth, that is a king, prince or warrior. It is also the name of a year in the sixty-year Jupiter cycle. As a boys' name it is used mainly in Gujarat. A well-known bearer is the former India wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel.
