Ramnik (रमणीक, Gujarati રમણીક) is a Gujarati adjective meaning charming or beautiful. The Gujarati dictionary glosses ramṇīk as lovely, handsome and pleasing to the eye and ear, and gives the Sanskrit form ramaṇīya as its equivalent; Monier-Williams explains ramaṇīya as pleasant, agreeable, delightful and charming. Several name lists divide the name as Ram plus nik and translate it "servant of Rama" or "abode of Rama", but we found no word nik with those senses, so that reading seems to be a modern guess. Ramnik, also Ramniklal or Ramnikbhai, is a Gujarati boys' name.
