Ramakant meaning
Ramakant (रमाकांत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Beloved or husband of Ramā (Lakṣmī): a name of Viṣṇu
Also used to mean: husband of lakshmi, lord vishnu
Ramakant (रमाकांत) is Sanskrit ramā-kānta, "lover or husband of Ramā". Ramā, "the delightful one", is a name of the goddess Lakṣmī, and kānta means "beloved", so Monier-Williams records the compound as a name of Viṣṇu. Some name lists explain it as "beloved of Lord Rama", but that reading confuses ramā with rāma; the first vowel is short, RUH-maa-kaant. The name is used in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and Odisha. A well-known bearer is the cricket coach Ramakant Achrekar.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Vishnu.
