Sukumar meaning
Sukumar (सुकुमार) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Very tender or delicate; a delicate youth
Also used to mean: good boy, handsome
Sukumar (सुकुमार) is Sanskrit su-kumāra, from su, "very, good", and kumāra, "boy, youth" and also "soft, tender". Monier-Williams gives the adjective as very tender or delicate, used in the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, and the noun as a delicate youth. Name lists give Sukumar as "tender", "good boy" or "handsome", which fit the dictionary. In Hindi sukumār is still a literary word for delicate or gentle. The Bengali writer Sukumar Ray, author of the nonsense verse classic Abol Tabol and father of the film-maker Satyajit Ray, is a celebrated bearer.
