Prabhas meaning
Prabhas (प्रभास) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Telugu usage).
Splendour, beauty; name of a Vasu and of a holy place
Also used to mean: shining, radiant
Prabhas (प्रभास) is Sanskrit prabhāsa, from a verb meaning "to shine forth". Monier-Williams gives it as "splendour" and "beauty", as the name of one of the eight Vasus in the Mahabharata, and as the name of a famous place of pilgrimage on the western coast near Dvaraka. Name lists translate it as "shining" or "radiant", which fits the root. The name is now closely associated with the Telugu film star Prabhas, and it is used mainly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
