Piyush meaning
Piyush (पीयूष) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, पी, it is a Kanya rashi name (Uttara Phalguni nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Nectar of immortality; the first milk of a cow
Piyush (पीयूष) is the Sanskrit pīyūṣa. Its oldest sense, in Vedic texts, is the first milk of a cow in the days after calving, and by extension any rich fluid such as cream or juice. In classical poetry the word came to mean nectar, the drink of immortality produced at the churning of the ocean of milk, and that is the sense most families have in mind today. Monier-Williams even records a verb formed from it, meaning "to turn into nectar". In Hindi the name is often spelled पियूष with a short i. Well-known bearers include the Union minister Piyush Goyal and the actor, lyricist and playwright Piyush Mishra.
