Sandesh meaning
Sandesh (संदेश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Message, news, information; errand, command; a present
Also used to mean: messenger
Sandesh (संदेश) is Sanskrit saṃdeśa, from the verb sam-diś, "to point out, direct". Monier-Williams gives it as the communication of news, a message or information, an errand, direction or command, and also a present or gift; it even records a particular kind of sweetmeat. Kālidāsa's Meghadūta, in which a cloud carries an exiled lover's message, inspired many later saṃdeśa-kāvya or "messenger poems". Name lists give Sandesh as "message" or "messenger".
