Shivay meaning
Shivay (शिवाय) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
To Śiva (dative of śiva), as in namaḥ śivāya
Also used to mean: lord shiva
Shivay (शिवाय) is the Sanskrit dative of śiva, meaning "to Śiva" or "for Śiva", the form heard in the five-syllable mantra namaḥ śivāya, "salutation to Shiva". Monier-Williams gives śiva as auspicious, kind and benign, and as the name of the god, "the auspicious one"; śivāya itself is a grammatical form rather than a separate dictionary word. Name lists give Shivay as "Lord Shiva". Its use as a given name is recent, and Shivaay was also the title of a 2016 Hindi film.
