Shirish meaning
Shirish (शिरीष) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The śirīṣa tree (Acacia sirissa, now Albizia lebbeck) and its flower
Also used to mean: a flower
Shirish (शिरीष) is Sanskrit śirīṣa, the name of a tree that Monier-Williams gives as Acacia sirissa, today called Albizia lebbeck, together with its flower. In classical Sanskrit poetry the feathery, fragrant śirīṣa blossom is a byword for softness and delicacy. The Hindi writer Hazari Prasad Dwivedi wrote a well-known essay about the tree, Shirish ke Phool. Name lists give Shirish as "a flower" or "a tree", which matches the dictionary.
