Shivansh meaning
Shivansh (शिवांश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
A portion of Shiva
Shivansh (शिवांश) joins two Sanskrit words: Śiva, the name of the god, and aṃśa, "a share, portion or part". Monier-Williams explains śiva as auspicious, kind and benign, and as the name of Śiva, the third god of the Hindu triad, whom it calls the Auspicious One. Put together, the name means "a part of Shiva", and Indian name lists give it the same way. The compound itself does not appear in the classical dictionaries, so it is a modern name built from old words, like Devansh and Suryansh. Names ending in -ansh all follow this pattern, pairing a god or a quality with the idea of being a part of it.
