Mayuresh meaning
Mayuresh (मयूरेश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
'peacock-lord', a man's name
Also used to mean: lord of peacocks, lord ganesha
Mayuresh (मयूरेश) is the Sanskrit mayūreśa, from mayūra, "peacock", and īśa, "lord". Monier-Williams glosses it "peacock-lord" and records it as a personal name. In Maharashtra the name belongs to Ganesha: at Morgaon near Pune he is worshipped as Mayureshwar or Moreshwar, the god who rode a peacock to defeat a demon, and the temple is the first stop of the Ashtavinayaka pilgrimage. Some name lists link Mayuresh to Kārttikeya instead, since his mount is also a peacock. It is used in Maharashtra.
