Suresh meaning
Suresh (सुरेश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Lord of the gods; Indra, Vishnu-Krishna or Shiva
Suresh (सुरेश) is the Sanskrit sureśa, from sura, "god", and īśa, "lord". Monier-Williams gives it as "a lord of the gods" and shows how the title moved between deities: it names Indra, king of the gods, in the Bṛhatsaṃhitā and Bhāgavata Purāṇa, then Viṣṇu-Kṛṣṇa, then Śiva, and also a particular Agni, a son of Tapas, in the Mahabharata. The feminine sureśī is a name of Durgā. Indian name lists give Suresh as "lord of the gods", which matches the dictionary, and families may have any of these gods in mind. It belongs with Mahesh, Umesh and Ramesh among the names ending in īśa.
