Rajendra meaning
Rajendra (राजेन्द्र) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, रा, it is a Tula rashi name (Chitra nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Lord of kings, supreme sovereign, emperor
Also used to mean: king of kings
Rajendra (राजेन्द्र) is the Sanskrit rājendra, formed from rāja, "king", and indra, which at the end of a compound means "chief" or "best of". Monier-Williams gives it as a lord of kings, a supreme sovereign or emperor, and finds it in the Mahābhārata and the Rāmāyaṇa. The best-known bearers are Rajendra Chola I, the eleventh-century Chola emperor, and Dr Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. Rajinder and Rajender are the usual Punjabi and north Indian spellings.
