Ravindranath meaning
Ravindranath (रवींद्रनाथ) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Ravi 'sun' + indra 'chief' + nātha 'lord': lord of the sun
Ravindranath (रवींद्रनाथ) is built from three Sanskrit words: ravi, "the sun", indra, which at the end of a compound means "chief, best of", and nātha, "lord, protector". Ravīndra is "the chief of suns", the sun itself, and Ravindranath reads "lord of the sun". In Bengali the v is pronounced b, giving Rabindranath, the name of Rabindranath Tagore, poet, composer of the national anthems of India and Bangladesh, and Asia's first Nobel laureate in 1913. Ravindra on its own is a separate name.
