Fenil meaning
Fenil (फेनिल) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Gujarati usage).
Foamy, frothy; the soap-nut or jujube tree
Fenil (फेनिल, Gujarati ફેનિલ) is the Sanskrit word phenila, from phena, "foam". Monier-Williams gives it as foamy or frothy, citing the Mahābhārata and classical poetry, and also as the name of two trees, the jujube and the soap-nut, whose fruit lathers in water. The spelling with F follows Gujarati pronunciation, which turns Sanskrit ph into f, as in Falguni. Name lists give Fenil as "foamy" or "frothy", and some add the soap-nut tree, both matching the dictionary. It is used almost only in Gujarati families.
