Suvan meaning
Suvan (सुवन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The sun; fire; the moon
Also used to mean: moonlight
Suvan (सुवन) is Sanskrit suvana, which grammarians derived from the root sū, "to impel, set in motion". Monier-Williams gives it as the sun, citing a commentary on the Uṇādi-sūtras, an ancient grammatical text, and adds fire and the moon as senses recorded by the lexicographers. It is a rare, learned word rather than one found in the epics, which gives the name a fresh feel. Name lists give Suvan as "sun", and sometimes "fire" or "moonlight", which match the dictionary. Some lists also connect it with suvarṇa, "gold", but that is a separate word.
