Shalin meaning
Shalin (शालीन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Shy, bashful, modest; modesty, humility
Shalin (शालीन) is Sanskrit śālīna. Monier-Williams gives having a fixed house or abode, and then shy, bashful and modest, with the neuter noun meaning bashfulness, modesty or humility; it also records a settled householder devoted to worldly affairs. In Hindi shaleen means courteous and well-mannered. Name lists give Shalin as "modest", in line with the dictionary; the occasional gloss "calm, peaceful" is a looser reading.
