Krish meaning
Krish (कृष) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Short form of Krishna: dark, black; the deity Krishna
Also used to mean: Lord Krishna
Krish (कृष) is a modern short form of Krishna, so its meaning comes from Sanskrit kṛṣṇa. Monier-Williams gives kṛṣṇa first as a colour word, black, dark or dark blue, and then as the name of the celebrated avatar of Viṣṇu, a hero and teacher in the older texts who is worshipped as a god in the later ones. Indian name lists usually give Krish simply as "Lord Krishna", which matches the dictionary. No classical dictionary has Krish as a separate word: it is a clipped, everyday form that keeps the link to Krishna in a single syllable. Because it is so short, it sounds almost the same in Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and English.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Krishna.
